Wellington is New Zealand’s capital city and the southernmost city in the North Island. For film buffs and Lord of the Rings fans, Wellington is a must-visit as it’s the home of the famous Weta Workshop, where Sir Peter Jackson and his team created fantastic special effects, costumes and props for the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies, as well as many other well-known films.
