Auckland City Sights Tour and Devonport Ferry

Discover Auckland, City of Sails, with a half-day tour experiencing its scenic and historic highlights including the village of Devonport.

Travel through the city centre and over the Auckland Harbour Bridge, enjoying views of the Hauraki Gulf and city skyline. Visit the Viaduct Harbour and Auckland’s famous Queen Street before continuing to the Auckland Domain. Set on the site of an extinct volcano, the Domain is Auckland’s oldest park and features tropical gardens, duck ponds and public art, as well as the Auckland War Memorial Museum.

After visiting the Domain, the tour continues to Parnell Village, a charming shopping area with restored historic villas and quirky boutiques. You’ll stop here for a short morning tea break (own expense). Our tour will then take you along the scenic waterfront route of Tamaki Drive to Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park, overlooking Mission Bay. Named after one of New Zealand’s best-loved Prime Ministers, the park offers a panoramic outlook over the picturesque Eastern Bays, Auckland city and the Waitemata Harbour.

Your morning Auckland city tour concludes downtown, after which you can take the ferry to Devonport at your leisure. This harbourside suburb on Auckland’s North Shore boasts an impressive array of heritage buildings, art galleries, and specialty shops. Choose from any number of restaurants and cafes for a delicious meal, wander up Mt Victoria or North Head for breathtaking vistas, or simply relax by the beach.

Ferries depart every 15-30 minutes from the Fullers ferry terminal. Your return tickets can be used on any sailing, giving you the opportunity to spend as much time as you wish exploring Devonport.
